Landscaping with Rocks Tips and Tricks
I have always loved to design landscaping with unconventional materials. Whether it is gardening landscaping, yard landscaping, or any other kind, it seems to me that something that is unique and creative always makes the best effect. A lot of this has to do with where I live. You see, I live in California. Aesthetics here are much more diverse and broad than in many other parts of the country, to say nothing of the world. However, even in California I feel the need to stand out. I have noticed an overwhelming trend to landscape with plants as much as possible. Because all kinds of plants will live in the area that I live in, people think that the best landscaping is the kind that incorporates as many living things as possible.
To try to stick out and make my work original, I landscape with rocks is much as possible. Although landscaping with rocks does not occur to a lot of Californians, few can deny the effects. When I am landscaping with rocks, I take a much different approach than the one that is favored by most designers. Instead of trying to fill the yard with as many living and growing things as possible, I make them a special feature of my designs. That way the bright colors, a dramatic textures, their unique statures are all brought out by the effect of landscaping with rocks. A garden filled with all kinds of different growing things may be beautiful, but when I am landscaping with rocks and only have a few dramatic plants among them, people really notice how amazing these parts of nature are.
Another great thing about landscaping stones is that they enable a designer to incorporate a wide variety of different elevations. When I am landscaping with rocks, I can create hills, valleys, gentle sloping rises and dramatic falls. Without landscaping with rocks, the only way that I can create these kinds of effects is through the use of poured concrete or wood. The poured concrete is boring, ugly, and cold no matter how it is dressed up, and wood just does not last so long. But by landscaping with rocks, I am able to create a much more natural look, and incorporate texture as well. I can use landscaping boulders, fine gravel, or anything in between. The possibilities are almost endless! It really makes my job a joy, and my clients are always happy.
